Jod Na Nawood costume redesign

This is a redesign of Jod Na Nawood from Star Wars Skeleton Crew. I did this as part of a CGMA class with Phil Boutte https://www.artstation.com/phillipbouttejr
I imagined the character taking a different path; after his Master was killed he was taken to be trained as an Inquisitor, who would adapt a lawless/bounty hunter look later on and would survive the empires fall. It was quite hard trying to balance imperial design with more pirate designs. I did heavily play with asymmetry since everything in the empire is usually super symmetrical - especially Inquisitor suits. Was super fun to imagine this character be more evil while deviating from the usual empire aesthetic.

Some of my instant color tests. I did have a few more, trying to balance the empire and pirate aesthetic. I did decide on a simple navy blue kind of color (2) and a mismatched color set of the armor pieces (2).
